Brewing notebook and printable brew sheets
A homebrewing notebook to plan and log every batch in, free as a PDF, with the sheets from it to print on their own
Train Effect Brewing Notebook 2027
Each of the notebook's 24 batches gets an open spread, with the recipe and plan on the left and a dated brew log on the right for readings, dry hops, the crash and packaging, so the whole beer is in one place when you come back to it. Up front are the reference pages you otherwise look up on brew day: water and salts, gravity and unit tables, carbonation, faults, a glossary and a style quick reference.
Print the PDF and bind it yourself, or print only the sheets below, which are cut from the same book. Or make one in your own name and colour, for a club or a brewery, printed and posted.

Sheets 4
-
Batch sheet The notebook spread on a loose A4: recipe and plan on the front, a dated log, packaging and tasting on the back. For a binder.

with a real batch.
-
Brew day checklist The brew day in order, top to bottom, with a tick box and a notes line per step and the numbers to record at the foot. -
Water card A tap water profile, Campden dose and the salt additions for 23 L by beer style, with the classic city profiles for comparison. -
Tasting sheet Two scoresheets per page for a tasting night: aroma, appearance, flavour, mouthfeel and overall, out of 50.
Printing
Print at actual size on A4. The two-sided sheets flip on the long edge, and leave a wide margin on the binding side for a hole punch. The water card shows the Hutt Valley supply where these were made; your own water report slots into the same table.
