About

CaraHell is the lightest crystal/caramel malt in Weyermann's Cara range. It gives a small colour boost with mild caramel and honey sweetness and — like a dextrin malt — improves body and head retention, all without adding significant colour or obvious caramel flavour. That makes it a subtle way to round out light lagers, pilsners and wheat beers where colour control matters.

Usage

No diastatic power; mash with a base malt. Typically 2–8% (up to ~15%) to improve body, mouthfeel and foam with only a hint of sweetness. A clean choice where heavier crystal character would be unwanted.
